“Religious-Zionism”: Signifier without Signified? Or—Is Religious-Zionism Still Alive?

In the public discourse and research literature, signifier “religious-Zionism” is usually viewed as denoting a specific group located midway between secular ultra-Orthodox Jews. This location does not turn religious-Zionism into residual category including whoever part of two others. Quite contrary. Religious-Zionism used to be with unique characteristics, values normative fullness its own. I argue in this article that, at present, no longer signifies due series centrifugal processes affecting it. Its ethos, myth, textual web, authority principle have collapsed reflects more than political rabbinic attempting control breakdown.
